rachel.cole@health-news-reports.com Being a sufferer and in need of hemroid treatment myself, I decided to write a report on hemroids treatment and see if I could find something that could actually relieve the discomfort and maybe even remove the hemroids altogether. So, I presented the idea to my superiors and got the approval to write this report for Health News Reports.

 

To begin my research I diligently studied page after page on the Internet describing many a supposed hemroid treatment. Some I had tried myself and with no success. I knew about the standard over the counter medications and creams that you could buy. I knew that some could offer limited temporary relief but I hoped to find a hemroids treatment that was actually reliable and maybe even permanent.

 

I kept finding information on 'homeopathic remedies'. Well, I had heard many a long winded yarn about holistic remedies and the like and I was pretty near convinced that they were 'hog wash'.

 

Being a seasoned reporter I knew that I had to do the proper research before I could just rule homeopathic medicine out as a possible solution. So, I set out to report on detailed information that determined whether homeopathic remedies are recognized as a viable form of medicine.

 

What I learned was that the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act officially recognizes and protects homeopathic medicines and they are classified and officially registered as pharmaceutical drugs. Here is an excerpt directly from the FDA Section 201(j):

- "The term "official compendium" means the official United States Pharmacopoeia, official Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States, official National Formulary, or any supplement to any of them."

 

Wikipedia also notes that the FDA recognizes homeopathic medicine as quoted here:

- "Homeopathic preparations are regulated and protected under Sections 201(g) and 201(j), provided that such medications are formulated from substances listed in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States, which the Act recognizes as an official drug compendium."

 

OK, I had to admit it, homeopathic medicine is recognized by the FDA themselves and should be taken seriously as a credible form of medicine.

 

BUT that didn't mean that all the homeopathic remedies I was reading about for hemroids treatment actually worked. Obviously, my next task was to try to weed out all the hundreds of different solutions and methods and see if I could find a common thread. Was there anything that was consistently being reported as actually working by more than one person?

What I found was that certain ingredients kept showing up over and over. I've extracted a small excerpt that I found on the Website of the University of Maryland Medical Center. They list most of the specific ingredients that I kept reading about over and over. Here is what they say about it:

 

- "The following are examples of remedies from which a homeopath might select to treat someone with hemorrhoids.

• Aesculus -- for burning hemorrhoids with a sensation of a lump in the anus that feels worse when walking
• Aloe -- for a sensation of pulsation in the rectum with large, external hemorrhoids
• Collinsonia -- for chronic, itchy hemorrhoids with constipation
• Hamamelis -- for large bleeding hemorrhoids with a raw feeling"

 

By now I had narrowed down specific ingredients that numerous people had testified worked as a hemroid treatment, for them. In fact I read one testimony after another about how people had wished they had found this powerful a hemroids treatment earlier.

 

Here is one such testomony that I found:

Stone Root, Collinsonia canadensis – Effects constipation and anal veins. Specifically good for with protruding hemorrhoids. Itching of anus.
Witch hazel, Hamamelis virginiana -Sooths and coats swollen veins and areas.
Muriatic Acid, Muriaticum acidum
Krameria’Mapato, Ratanhia" fn1

The ingredients and descriptions thereof that, from my research, should be used to create a homeopathic hemroid treatment that actually works are as follows:

• Horse Chestnut - Aesculus hippocastanum 1 X "The action of the drug is most marked on the lower bowel, [which is] producing engorged hemorrhoidal veins, with characteristic backache. Dry, aching. Feels full of small sticks. Anus raw with sharp shooting pains and bleeding."
• Leopard's Bane - Arnica montana 3 X "Especially suited to cases when any injury, however remote, seems to have caused the present trouble. After traumatic injuries, over use of any organ, strains. Affects the venous system, inducing stasis. Tendency to hemorrhage. Tendency to tissue degeneration, septic conditions, abscesses that do not mature."
• Fluoride of Lime - Calcarea fluorica 9X "A powerful tissue remedy for hard, stony glands, varicose and enlarged veins, etc. Itching of anus. Fissure of the anus, and intensely sore crack near the lower end of the bowel. Bleeding hemorrhoids. Itching of the anus. Internal or blind piles, frequently with pain in back."
• St. Mary's Thistle - Carduus marianus 1X "Has specific relation to the vascular system. Varicose veins and ulcers. Hemorrhagic piles, prolapse of rectum, burning pain in anus and rectum."
• Stone Root - Collinsonia canadensis 3X "Pelvic and portal congestion, resulting hemorrhoids and constipation. Depressed arterial tension. Sense of constriction. Vascular engorgement of rectum. Dry feces, with protruding hemorrhoids. Itching of anus."
• Witch Hazel - Hamamelis virginiana 1X "Acts on the coat of the veins causing relaxation of engorgement. Anus feels sore and raw. Pulsation in rectum."
• Muriatic Acid - Muriaticum acidum 6X "This acid has an elective affinity for the blood, producing a septic condition. Hemorrhoids most sensitive to all touch; even sheet of toilet paper is painful. Anal itching and prolapsus ani while urinating."
• Krameria'Mapato - Ratanhia 3X "Rectum aches, as if full of broken glass. Anus aches and burns for hours after stool. Feels constricted. Protrusion of hemorrhoids. Fissures of anus, temporarily relieved by cold water."
• Alcohol and Purified Water - Homeopathic medicine is prepared with alcohol and purified water to preserve and protect its purity.

 

I continued my research and proceeded to try to find a product, something along the lines of a homeopathic hemroids treatment that included all these ingredients. I researched literally hundreds of products that are available on the market. I learned that they're everywhere. But I needed to find a product that contained high (not terribly diluted) concentrations of these specific ingredients.
