rachel.cole@health-news-reports.comHaving been a victim of hemorrhoids for some time after my first pregnancy, I determined to write a piece on hemorrhoids home treatment options and find out as much as I could about anything that might help relieve people like me of this disgusting, irritating affliction.
So, I went to my editor in chief and asked if I could write a report for Health News Reports on hemorrhoids home treatment remedies.
Given the OK to write, I began my research by reviewing as much information as I could about hemorrhoids, what exactly causes them and what might be done to a. immediately relieve the irritation and b. remove the hemorrhoids completely.
I found a lot of remedies, most of which I had already tried like sitz baths, salves, Preparation-H (actually witch hazel) etc. My experience was that some do provide temporary relief to some degree but I was really hoping to find something that was more effective and hopefully more permanent.
I kept running into homeopathic remedies which, frankly, I was trying to avoid. I had heard of holistic medicines and homeopathic medicines and really just never took much stock in them.
But, if I was to do my job as a seasoned reporter, I needed to do the research properly and at least come up with some reasonable proof that homeopathic medicine was not going to help.
After researching a few very prominant Websites I learned that the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act officially recognizes and protects homeopathic medicines. I also learned that they are classified and officially registered as pharmaceutical drugs. That sure was an eye opener! This excerpt is taken directly from the FDA Section 201(j):
- "The term "official compendium" means the official United States Pharmacopoeia, official Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States, official National Formulary, or any supplement to any of them."
I also found information on Wikipedia that explains a little more clearly what the above statement means:
- "Homeopathic preparations are regulated and protected under Sections 201(g) and 201(j), provided that such medications are formulated from substances listed in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States, which the Act recognizes as an official drug compendium."
I learned that Abraham Lincoln was a big supporter of homeopathic medicine. I learned that the American Medical Association was originally formed to try to discredit homeopathic medicine and that the AMA's objection was apparently more about traditional doctors not making enough money, than about effective scientific medical practices.
So, homeopathic medicine does have genuine merit and is fully recognized by the FDA. I still wasn't convinced however, that the homeopathic remedies I was reading about could serve as actual hemorrhoid home treatment possibilities.
I kept researching. I was particularly interested in finding multiple 'success' testimonies from different unrelated sources that repeated the same thing. This would indicate that there must be something to the claims
I kept finding testimonies and references to a specific set of ingredients that was apparently proving to be effective for a great number of people. I found the following excerpt from the University of Maryland Medical Center that listed most of the ingredients I kept seeing:
-
"The following are examples of remedies from which a homeopath might select to treat someone with hemorrhoids.
• Aesculus -- for burning hemorrhoids with a sensation of a lump in the anus that feels worse when walking
• Aloe -- for a sensation of pulsation in the rectum with large, external hemorrhoids
• Collinsonia -- for chronic, itchy hemorrhoids with constipation
• Hamamelis -- for large bleeding hemorrhoids with a raw feeling"
As I kept reading reviews, I became more and more convinced that this one list of ingredients must actually work as a hemorrhoid home treatment. I read one testimony after another. Some listed some ingredients, some listed others and some listed all of them together.
Here is one of the testimonies that listed all of the ingredients I kept finding:

Jessica ". . . I stumbled on an all natural treatment which has been fantastic. And has worked the best for me. . . . Within a few days of taking it full strength, my life had changed for the better. Total shrinkage! If I ever get a recurance, I just start taking it again until everything is fine again.
Here are the main ingredients . . .
Horse Chestnut, Aesculus hippocastanum – Which acts on the lower bowel.
Arnica, Arnica montana – Useful for injury, trauma and hemmorages.
Fluoride of Lime, Calcarea fluorica – Used for vericose and enlarged veins -bleeding hemorrhoids and external piles
St. Mary’s Thistle, Carduus marianus – Used to benifit the whole vascualr system and especially the rectum

The complete list of ingredients that I repeatedly found as having worked for many people suffering from hemorrhoids are as follows:

Affects the venous system, inducing stasis. Tendency to hemorrhage. Tendency to tissue degeneration, septic conditions, abscesses that do not mature."

"A powerful tissue remedy for hard, stony glands, varicose and enlarged veins, etc. Itching of anus. Fissure of the anus, and intensely sore crack near the lower end of the bowel. Bleeding hemorrhoids. Itching of the anus. Internal or blind piles, frequently with pain in back."
• St. Mary's Thistle - Carduus marianus 1X

• Muriatic Acid - Muriaticum acidum 6X
"This acid has an elective affinity for the blood, producing a septic condition. Hemorrhoids most sensitive to all touch; even sheet of toilet paper is painful. Anal itching and prolapsus ani while urinating."
• Krameria'Mapato - Ratanhia 3X
"Rectum aches, as if full of broken glass. Anus aches and burns for hours after stool. Feels constricted. Protrusion of hemorrhoids. Fissures of anus, temporarily relieved by cold water."
• Alcohol and Purified Water - Homeopathic medicine is prepared with alcohol and purified water to preserve and protect its purity.
I started looking for recipes to learn the best ways to create a concoction or elixer out of the ingredients mentioned above. Instead I kept finding one product that is already made and on the market. I found other products too (after starting to look specifically for products with these ingredients) but only this product had significant concentrations of all the ingredients I was looking for. That product is Venapro Combo.
I learned about the product mostly from testimonies I found on the Internet by people who were using it. They consistently said that it worked quite well as a hemorrhoid home treatment for them.
Here are just a few of the many testimonies I reviewed, specifically on the product VenePro Combo:
TESTIMONIES
"I have been using the Venapro combo for about 2 months and I have to say it’s working. The pain decreased after about 2 weeks and after about 2 months the pain and symptoms were about 85% gone. I wasn’t completely cured, but I think after I complete the full six month course, I will be. I can recommend the Venapro combo, whole-heartedly. It does really work, give it a try. One thing you will not get away from is keeping your fiber intake up and drink plenty of water. Hope this opinion helps you make up your mind."
Debbie A. Vancouver, WA
"…Suffering from internal hemroids for about 2 years. I notice bleeding when I went to the bathroom. I spent money on several things different things, my doctor gave me a prescription for a cream that worked. I didn’t like the mess associated with the cream. I did some searching online and found this review and the opinions helpful. I’m glad I did because Venapro worked for me after 2 days. My bleeding occurred less everyday and the pain had decreased right away. It has been about a month of using this product and I think my hemroid is almost completely gone. I’m sure it will be after about 2 months. You need to eat fruits, high-fiber foods and drink A LOT of water. Nothing you do will help if you don’t do that no matter what product you choose.

"Would highly recommend. I have been on this product for about a month and it has given me my life back! After using it for three days I could tell it was working. I am ordering my next supply. Works well, worth the price, thank you for the review."

The 'proof is in the pudding' as they say. I decided to try VenaPro Combo myself. I was surprised to learn that they offer a free trial bottle. Well, there's no risk so what did I have to lose? Also I have to admit I just love shopping on line. I placed my order and within 4 days my free trial bottle was at my doorstep.
Here is my own personal testimony:
"I have been using VenaPro Combo homeopathic hemroid treatment for 2 and a half months now. I noticed relief inside of 3 days and now I am not experiencing any of the discomforts that go with hemroids. As a hemroids treatment I highly recommend the ongoing use of VenaPro Combo. I personally have decided to continue its use indefinately"
